Member Benefits

AFMA’s annual events provide the opportunity to network with suppliers and other retailers.

The AFMA Golf Classic and the Leadership Awards Banquet are attended by some of the most influential people in the industry!

The Arizona Food Marketing Alliance (AFMA) is the state trade association for the food industry in Arizona and has been working for its members since 1943. At AFMA, our goal is to provide service to suppliers, grocery and convenience stores of all shapes and sizes.

By becoming a member of AFMA, retailers and suppliers alike gain access to the resources that only a state association is able to provide.

SCHOLARSHIP AND TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAMS

Tuition and scholarship programs are available to employees of member companies as well as to their children.

This is a great program that ONLY members are able to take part in. With a small annual contribution, you’re able to offer an amazing benefit to your employees and their families. You work hard to run your business and AFMA can assist you in furthering your children’s education as well as your own.

A VOICE TO GOVERNMENT / PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS

AFMA provides a voice to government officials on behalf of the industry in Arizona.

Everything from tobacco and liquor laws to Weights & Measures programs to new laws being considered by the legislature are discussed and lobbied by AFMA in the best interests of our members. Think your voice is too small to be heard? AFMA can help. Confused about how upcoming laws will affect you? AFMA provides you with greater detail on how your business will be affected. The state agencies we work closely with include: WIC, EBT, Department of Weights & Measures, Department of Liquor Licenses & Control, Department of Health, the Arizona Lottery, Department of Homeland Security, Industrial Commission of Arizona and county environmental agencies.
